/ 26 January 2026

DE LA SALLE University–Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) welcomed Fr. Benigno P. Beltran, SVD, founder of the Sandiwaan Center of Learning, to discuss potential partnerships in delivering the Alternative Learning System (ALS) at the Basic Education level.

Fr. Beltran met with University President Br. Iñigo Riola, FSC, High School Principal Marlon Pareja, and Basic Education Division administrators to explore collaborative initiatives centered on technology, innovation, and community-based learning.

During the visit, Fr. Beltran invited DLSU-D educators to join an upcoming nationwide online workshop on Artificial Intelligence in ALS, expected to gather around 1,500 ALS teachers to examine AI applications in teaching and learning.

He also presented Sandiwaan’s ALS Senior High School program, which aims to expand educational access for learners from marginalized communities.

In addition, Fr. Beltran proposed collaborating with DLSU-D High School to develop the DIWA Learner Experience Portal, a digital platform supporting ALS teachers and learners through interactive resources and online modules.
