DE LA Salle Medical Health Sciences Institute ranked first as the worst school to study in pandemic based on the issues and information gathered by the Samahan ng Progresibong Kabataan, also known as SPARK.
The progressive youth group had it on its official website that the DLSHSI was classified as the worst school due to high tuition and school fees, little to no financial aid for students, confusing enrollment guidelines, poor treatment of employees, abusive administration and student and allegedly campus press repression. “It is also not ready for online classes or modular learning,” it said.
Based on students’ sentiments, their professors allegedly “require stable internet connection and are reportedly inconsiderate.” They even posted statements to the effect that someone has died by suicide due to online academic pressure.
“The students also receive violation slips when they speak up online,” shared another student’s sentiment.
University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, Southville International School and Colleges, Universidad de Manila, University of the East, Cavite State University, University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and De La Salle Dasmariñas ranked as the top 2 to 10 worst schools, respectively.
Common issues among these schools were high fees, confusing online classes and abusive school administration.
The group also cited the “Horrorable mentions” which also received votes, yet those votes were not enough to include them in the top 10.
