THE LAWA Central Elementary School in Davao Occidental has established an education hub for the Indigenous People to advance their knowledge and skills.

The Indigenous People’s Education Hub aims to give equal education opportunities for the members of the Manobo community from the municipality of Don Marcelino.

The hub integrated the indigenous knowledge, system and practices in its curriculum to make it more localized.

It also showcases the native products and handicraft of the Manobo people.

“To bring the learners closer to the goal of instilling values and educating the learners on the rich history of our country through visual display, the school heroes’ park was enhanced to welcome them and all the stakeholders in the upcoming opening of classes,” the Department of Education said.
