THE DAVAO del Sur State College has partnered with the Department of Information and Communications Technology for the installation of free WiFi on campus.

“The DICT Team installed Four AP -Access points (three with a range of two hundred meters and one with two hundred fifty meters range) within the campus of DSSC establishing the college to be one of the first to have FREE-Open WIFI,” the DSSC said on Facebook.

DICT said the project will provide students, faculty members, and visitors free internet with average speeds faster than their local internet service provider.

“The FREE Internet of DICT will eventually connect students, faculty, and visitors to the virtual world or the internet. The DICT Team is composed of experts in communication networks and data-transmissions,” it said.

The project was part of DSSC President Dr. Augie Fuentes’ plan to make the college a smart campus.

The school thanked DICT for its support to the project.
