THE CAVITE State University received a P7 million grant from the Department of Agriculture to boost the school’s agricultural projects.

Officials from the university and the DA met to discuss university infrastructure improvements.

The fund will be used for the improvement of CVSU’s tissue culture laboratory, establishment of a schion grove and the acquisition of a four wheel drive tractor.

Of the grant, P3 million will be for the laboratory, P2 million for the grove and P2 million for the tractor.

The DA and CVSU regularly partner for projects that aims to help the agricultural sector.

Their previous collaborations include the implementation of an urban agriculture program, Climate Risk Vulnerability Assessment project, and seed giving.
