/ 23 August 2021

TO HELP students who live outside the city, a three-story dormitory worth P39.2 million will be built at the Cotabato State University.

The construction is an initiative of the Facilities Section of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region’s Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education. The project aims to provide facilities for students and faculty of the university.

The three-story dormitory will have two dining halls, two study rooms and conference halls.

“In the pursuit of balanced, quality, and inclusive education, we want to introduce innovative solutions to long-standing problems and explore pioneering approaches to elevate the Bangsamoro educational system,” Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Education Minister Mohagher Iqbal said.

“Shortly after the establishment of the MBHTE, we decided to improve and strengthen the Bangsamoro educational system so it can secure our children’s future,” Iqbal said.

The funding of the project came from the BARMM Contingent Fund of 2020.
