CONGRESSIONAL INTEGRATED HS HOLDS KNOWLEDGE ENHANCEMENT FOR PARENTS
THE PARENT-Teacher Association of the Congressional Integrated High School in Dasmariñas City, Cavite has conducted a seminar for parents to provide them with essential knowledge on the different approaches in teaching reading.
The seminar, dubbed as Project LIKE or Literacy Intervention Knowledge Enhancement, aims to help parents teach reading effectively and to provide them with activities that can be given to their children at home as part of reading remediation.
Zeny Rose Domingo, the keynote speaker, introduced strategies for parents to use while encouraging their kids to read as she offered her extensive knowledge and expertise as a reading and English language teacher.
Select parents and children from the junior high and senior high school departments participated in the activity.
Also present during the seminar were CIHS Principal Ryan Villanueva, JHS Reading Coordinator Mikko Jade Alcantara, head teachers and PTA members.
