CLSU JOINS CONSORTIUM TO BOOST R & D

/ 10 February 2024

TO AFFIRM its commitment to boost research and development, the Central Luzon State University joined the Central Luzon Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium.

A memorandum of agreement was signed between key officials of the two institutions earlier this week.

CLSU Vice President for Research and Extension Dr. Edgar Oden said the university recognizes the importance of R&D innovations in the industry, energy, and emerging technology.

This, he added, asserted CLSU’s ground in pushing for more research engagement.

As a member institution, CLSU is expected to identify, monitor, review, and update R&D programs and projects related to the thrust of the Consortium, screen and evaluate R&D proposals, and promote R&D results generated by member agencies/institutions.

The CLIEERDEC operates under the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) with Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology as a base agency in Region 3.

Aside from CLSU, Bulacan Agricultural State College, Pampanga State Agricultural University, and Tarlac Agricultural University also signified their support to CLIEERDEC as new members.
