CLSU JOINS AS NEW MEMBER OF ASIAN ASSOCIATION OF OPEN UNIVERSITIES

/ 22 October 2023

THE CENTRAL Luzon State University recently joined the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) as part of its commitment in providing quality education.

CLSU will be an associate member of AAOU to amplify its agenda toward internationalization by focusing on distance, open, and transnational university (DOT-Uni).

The AAOU Executive Committee confirmed the membership of CLSU after officially granting the approval this month.

“(This) opens avenues for DOT-Uni to tap a larger network not only for the students but also for the faculty and staff who wants to present their research outputs in international forums, reaching a diverse global audience,” CLSU said.

Established in 1987, the AAOU is a non-profit organization promoting open and distance education within the region.

It actively fosters cooperation and collaboration among higher educational institutions in open and distance learning.

With its headquarters located at the Universitas Terbuka, Jalan Cabe Raya, Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia, the AAOU plays a pivotal role in shaping the education landscape across Asia.
