CLASSES IN TAGUIG SCHOOL RESUMES AFTER BOMB THREAT

/ 8 November 2022

CLASSES in Signal Village National High School resumed on Tuesday following a bomb threat on Monday that disrupted classes, the Department of Education-National Capital Region said.

The department asked the public not to spread unverified news or messages that may cause fear or panic.

“School personnel, students and parents are advised to remain calm and follow school security protocols. Everybody should be vigilant and immediately report any untoward incident to authorities,” it added.

On Monday, Taguig City Police chief Police Colonel Robert Baesa said a dummy account posted a threatening message on a Facebook live post of the city government.

It triggered panic among school personnel, students and parents, leading to the suspension of classes.

No bomb or explosive was found in the school.

The Taguig police coordinated with the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group to identify the person behind the threat.
