THE CITY of Malabon University signed a memorandum of understanding with Highly Succeed Inc. Philippines for the training of CMU students during their internship program.

Under the agreement, students who will be doing on-the-job training will be given industry-specific placement relevant to their courses.

Students will be assigned to departments like marketing, business administration, Information and Technology, among others.

CMU will also be accredited under Microsoft’s School of the Future Program and will be hailed as a “Microsoft Academy.”

This will entitle students and faculty members to free Microsoft certifications, including licensing and free accounts on Microsoft’s Imagine Software and free training on Canva and Microsoft Programming Software through the Microsoft Virtual Academy platform.

Also included in the agreement is Gabay Guro — a PLDT Smart Foundation project that provides behavioral and livelihood training.

HIS and Microsoft said they support CMU’s vision of becoming a “center of excellence for young Malabonians.”
