CHED ALLOWS UP DILIMAN TO HOLD LIMITED F2F CLASSES

/ 24 December 2021

THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has approved the request of the University of the Philippines Diliman to hold limited face-to-face classes for select degree programs.

UPD will conduct physical classes for the 338 graduating students from four colleges — College of Science, College of Home Economics, College of Social Work and Community Development, and College of Music.

“UPD officially received certificates of authority from CHED to reopen the campus for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes, internship, and clerkship,” the university said.

The school earlier clarified that participation in onsite learning is not compulsory. Only those who signified readiness to participate will be allowed to attend physical classes.

CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III had said universities and colleges may start conducting limited physical classes in all degree programs in December.

However, all students and faculty who participate in face-to-face classes should have been vaccinated against Covid19.
