A PROFESSOR and a student from the Centro Escolar University bagged awards in the 8th Philippine Pharmacy Summit held in Quezon City.

CEU School of Pharmacy Assistant to the Dean Reysan Cosas took home the Best Poster Presentation Award for his study, “Cytotoxicity on MDA-MB-231 Cells and Antioxidant Activity of Tibig (Ficus nota Blanco Merr).

Meanwhile, 4th year BS in Pharmacy student Dominic Moreno won the Best Oral Presentation Award for his research on “Selected Community Pharmacists’ Extent of Knowledge, Actions, and Confidence in Medication Education to People with Hearing Disabilities.”

School of Pharmacy Dean Dr. Maria Donnabelle Dean commended Moreno and Cosas, saying that their victory “demonstrates the university’s robust research tradition.”

The summit had the theme “Merging with the Future: Breaking Into the Trends of the Pharmaceutical Industry.”
