AN ALUMNUS of Centro Escolar University bagged the TikTok Creator of the Year Award given by the social media platform TikTok Philippines.

Arshie Larga was recognized for his video content on his experiences as a community pharmacist.

“To my fellow content creators, just a reminder that as a content creator let us use our platforms wisely and responsibly and ‘yung clout natin gamitin natin sa tamang paraan, not just to entertain but also to inspire people,” Larga said in his acceptance speech.

He began creating content in 2019. In 2020, he posted a series of informational videos to answer common health concerns as he recognized the need for accessible and accurate health information.

He tackles topics that affect people’s everyday lives such as managing allergies, understanding over-the-counter medications, and navigating the world of vitamins and supplements.

CEU lauded Larga for his achievement.

“His ability to simplify complex health-related information has made him a trusted source of knowledge for his followers, who appreciate his guidance in making informed decisions about their well-being,” it said.

“Beyond simply offering health advice, Arshie has also dedicated himself to combating misinformation about medicinal drugs. His videos often debunk myths and clarify misconceptions surrounding various medications, ensuring that his audience can make informed decisions about their healthcare,” it added.

Last year, Larga was recognized internationally when he bagged the Best Regional Influence in the Philippines during the Thailand Influencers Awards 2022.
