CENTRAL PHILIPPINE UNIVERSITY HANDS OUT SUPPLIES, SNACKS TO ILOILO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
THE CENTRAL Philippine University in Iloilo distributed school supplies and snacks to students of two elementary schools in the province over the weekend.
The supplies include plastic envelopes, art and pad papers, notebooks, and pens among others, with juice and bread for snacks that were made possible through ‘Project Changing lives through Education, Technology and Community’.
The distribution was led by CPU Community Engagement and Service Learning Program Director Dr. Levi Delos Santos, Nico Catedrilla, Loy Seisa, and other representatives from the university.
The recipient schools were Tapikan Elementary School and Agsirab Elementary School, with 187 and 256 student population, respectively.
“Project ETC founders Loy Seisa and her children Tristan and Andrea are generous advocates of technology. They respond to the needs of technology in expanding to other areas of the world. ETC’s humanitarian goals would not be achieved without the support of the community,” the university said.
“It also aims for a positive relationship with community leaders, parents, and school officials in order to understand their exact needs and make resolutions together,” it added.
Project ETC is a non-profit organization that partners with the CPU Community Engagement and Service Learning Program.
It gives greater opportunities to school children in developing areas of the world and their families through its core values of education, technology and community, the university said.
