CENTRAL LUZON STATE U TIES UP WITH GUIMBA LGU

/ 29 September 2023

TO address the challenges posed by climate change, the Central Luzon State University joined forces with the local government unit of Guimba in Nueva Ecija.

A memorandum of agreement was signed by key officials of CLSU and the municipality of Guimba.

Under the agreement, CLSU and the Guimba LGU will conduct a comprehensive training workshop on the formulation of the Local Climate Change Action Plan next week.

This will serve as a vital platform for Guimba’s local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and concerned citizens “to acquire essential knowledge and skills in climate change adaptation and mitigation.”

The partnership aims to empower the local community in mitigating the effects and adapting to climate change.

The CLSU Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management will spearhead the initiative.
