CENTRAL LUZON STATE U TAPS SOLAR POWER

/ 5 March 2022

THE CENTRAL Luzon State University has started tapping solar energy for some of its buildings in campus.

Eight buildings, including the ICT Research and Development Training Center, College of Home Science and Industry, Culinary Arts, Auditorium, and FPJ Communication Hall, are now being fueled by solar power.

A total of 997-kilowatt power solar panels were installed on the buildings.

Through this initiative, officials expect the school’s monthly electricity cost to go down by 20 percent.

The Rooftop Solar Power Plant Project is part of the university’s initiative to tap renewable energy.

It was part of a value added service that was provided by First Gen Energy Solutions that started in 2019.
