/ 30 July 2022

THE CENTRAL Luzon State University in Nueva Ecija signed an agreement with Norwegian chemical company Yara Fertilizers to help boost agricultural production.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed by the two parties at the CLSU College of Agriculture.

The university was represented by Dr. Ariel G. Mactal, Vice President for Business Affairs, while Yara was represented by Toby Goodroad, the country manager for the Philippines.

The partnership will allow the university to help farmers in the province with scientific approaches to agriculture.

“This industry-academe collaboration is a new milestone for the University to strengthen partnerships and cooperation in finding new and practical solutions for farmers through knowledge-sharing and science-based farming,” CLSU said.

Yara produces, distributes and sells nitrogen-based mineral fertilizers and related industrial products, the university said.
