CENTRAL LUZON STATE U HAILED AS CHAMPION IN NAT’L FASHION DESIGN CONTEST
CENTRAL Luzon State University-College of Home Science and Industry Department of Textile and Garment Technology won as champions in the Non-Timber Forest Product Fashion Design Competition last Friday, December 1.
With the theme “Pag-uwi sa Piling ng Tahanang Pinoy”, the university took home the victory with the design of the CLSU college representative made up of bamboo, peanut sack, and banig.
“The design showcased the creativity of the #CLSU DTGT students in terms of sustainable design using non-timber materials which are locally available,” the school said.
The competition which encouraged students to use NTFP aims to make wearable and fashionable clothing to help the efforts of the country to reach sustainability and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This fashion design contest was sponsored by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Forest Management Bureau.
