CEBU TECHNOLOGICAL U TIES UP WITH FOREIGN SCHOOLS TO CREATE RESPIRATORS

/ 23 March 2022

THE CEBU Technological University, in partnership with the Gunma University of Japan and National Technological University in Singapore, developed a respirator design to help with anti-Covid19 initiatives.

CTU said that the low-cost air-purifying respirators aim to assist medical practitioners in Cebu and will be used “anytime this year.”

The prototype features full-face masks which can block common bacteria and viruses.

The masks were demonstrated in CTU. The event was participated in by researchers.

The data can be monitored using smartphones via Bluetooth, CTU said.

The GU and NTU did the research in the Philippines as the country had the longest lockdown in the world.
