CEBU NORMAL U HOSTS TAIWANESE GRADUATE STUDENTS
THE CEBU Normal University recently hosted twenty-three Master of Education in School Administration Program students of the National ChengChi University in Taiwan.
The visitors were led by graduate school professor Dr. Joseph (Meng-Chun) Chin of NCU.
The visit aimed to foster possible collaborations with various universities and schools in neighboring countries.
The NCU students expressed interest in CNU’s education and internship practices.
They inquired about CNU’s special education offerings, Diploma in Professional Education, summer courses, best pedagogical practices of the university, and future plans for internationalization.
“CNU Director for Research and Development Dr. Daisy Palompon and Director for External Affairs and International Linkages Naila Beltran presented the university’s initiatives and current international partnerships with academic institutions abroad,” CNU said.
“Director Beltran also said that partnerships put a premium as well on research as CNU is a research university of education,” it added.
Dr. Helen Boholano, dean of the College of Teacher Education, Dr. Gwendelina Villarante, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Daisy R. Palompon, director for Research and Development answered the queries of the delegates.
Boholano invited NCU students to participate and present their research at the upcoming Teacher Education Students Conference.
