CEBU NORMAL U 14TH IN LIST OF WORLD’S UNIVERSITIES WITH REAL IMPACT

/ 23 June 2021

THE CEBU Normal University was ranked 14th in the World’s Universities with Real Impact’s Top 50 universities in Crisis Management.

WURI is a global innovative ranking system formed by the Organizing Committee of the Second Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities.

It aims to discover and evaluate universities around the world which provide real and feasible contributions to society.

This year, the WURI Ranking added crisis management as a new category to its assessment because of the great challenges brought about by the Covid19 pandemic.

Dr. Filomena Dayagbil, officer-in-charge of the Office of the University President, thanked WURI for acknowledging the impact of CNU’s Innovative Assistance and Relief Effort program on the lives of its stakeholders amid the health crisis.

“When the pandemic created havoc worldwide, CNU was unprepared. Guided by the mantra to survive, thrive and lead in the new normal, Team CNU launched the iCARE. The ‘i’ is added before CARE to show oneness and individual investment of self,” Dayagbil said.

Other universities in the Philippines that made it to the list were the Far Eastern University, 12th place, and Biliran Province State University, which ranked 26th.
