/ 18 October 2020

THE CEBU Institute of Technology-University will continue to conduct its examinations despite a week-long power interruption in various areas in Cebu.

In an official post of CIT, while examinations will still be pursued, it will be held asynchronously as it will be difficult for the school to adjust its academic calendar.

“Considering that we are following an Academic Calendar, it will be difficult to reschedule examinations and suspend classes at this time,” it said in a post.

According to its released guidelines, teachers shall conduct asynchronous examinations within 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for the college level.

Meanwhile, for the basic education department, students who will be affected by the power interruptions must be given special examination.

For classes held on October 21 to 23, teachers are advised to give assignments and activities as part of the asynchronous classes.

The Visayan Electric Company announced that there will be a power interruption from October 17 to 23.
