CEBU CITY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL GRATEFUL FOR VP SARA’S VISIT
A PRINCIPAL in a school in Cebu City has stressed the importance of the visit of Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio to the school to address the needs and concerns of the teachers.
“Mahalaga ang visit niya (VP-Sec. Duterte) dahil nakita talaga niya ang actual situation ng school namin, implementation ng Catch-up Fridays, at direct kong napaabot sa kanya ang mga needs at concerns ng teachers at ng school,” Pasil Elementary School Principal I Salvacion Oporto said.
Duterte-Carpio visited the school and inspected the program Catch-up Fridays and to discuss the concerns of the teaching, and non-teaching staff and learners.
Catch-up Fridays is a learning mechanism intended to strengthen the foundational, social, and other relevant skills necessary to actualize the intent of the basic education curriculum, the Department of Education Secretary said.
Earlier, the Vice President met with DepEd Regional Directors and discussed the programs and projects of the agency.
“Kinumusta ni VP Sara ang lagay ng mga field offices sa isinagawang meeting kasabay ng talakayan ukol sa mga proyekto at programang ipinatutupad ng Kagawaran para sa basic education,” DepEd said in a post.
