CATSU OFFICIALS DENY BACKING CANDIDATE ON STUDENT ELECTIONS

/ 7 March 2024

OFFICIALS from the Catanduanes Student University denied backing a student candidate in their upcoming elections.

In a signed unity statement by college deans and executives, they denied that CatSU President Dr. Patrick Azanza instructed them to support a certain student in the upcoming elections.

The officials vehemently denied the allegations, noting that they respect the students’ voice for their chosen representative.

“We urge everyone to be critical in accepting information and claims that are being circulated. We all wish to respect the right of our students to elect their representatives so that their voices can be heard,” the officials said.

“Contrary to the claims and allegations of a certain individual, has not contacted, directly, indirectly, any of the College Deans nor any of us University Administrative Officials, to do such alleged actions,” they added.

The officials made the statement, in a bid to clear their name from electioneering.
