THE CATANDUANES State University will receive fabrication laboratory equipment from the Department of Trade and Industry.

CatSU said that the equipment will be for the establishment of its “Fablab” to help train workers in the province.

The equipment include ZMorph all-in-one 3D Printer, Plastic 3D Printer, HanMa Laser Cutter Engraver, Ansys Space Claim Software and Tormach 24R CNC Router, among others.

“Establishing the FabLab can help the University specifically in product development and customer-centered product design and many more,” it said on Facebook.

“This is relevant in the continuous establishment of a technology-driven and globally competitive institution in the province.,” CatSU added.

The grant of equipment is under the DTI’s Shared Service Facilities Program.
