THE COMMISSION on Higher Education has allowed the Catanduanes State University to offer Master of Arts in Nursing beginning Academic Year 2023-2024.

The launch of the program is seen to have a significant impact on residents who will no longer have to leave the island to study nursing. It is also expected to improve the island’s healthcare system.

The regional director of CHED sent a letter to CatSU President Dr. Patrick Alain Azanza informing him of the approval of CatSU’s request for a Certificate of Program Compliance for the Master of Arts in Nursing program.

“Ayan po, totoong-totoo na ang MA Nursing sa CATSU,” Azanza said on his Facebook account.

“Congrats sa Team CATSU. Malaking matitipid ng mga taga-isla ngayong aprubado na ang MA Nursing uya sa satong unibersidad. Malaking pasalamat din po kay Comm. Aldrin Darilag sa alalay at suporta sa CATSU, siring man sa tabang kan CHED Regional Office and CEB,” he added.
