CATANDUANES STATE U TO BRING BOARD EXAM REVIEW TO ISLAND
THE CATANDUANES State University plans to have a board exam review venue in the island to help ease the burden of its students.
In a Facebook post, CatSU President Patrick Azanza said that the university will provide the venue and negotiate with the review center for the price.
Azanza said that this will ease the burden of students who leave the island to go to review centers and who also spend on accommodation, meals and travel expenses while they are reviewing for the board.
The move will also pave the way to the setting up of a built-in review and prep interventions in the university’s curriculum.
“By bringing the review sessions here in the island, malaki ang matitipid sa pamasahe, dormitory at meals. At worry-free pa sa mga magulang kasi alam nila na safe ang mga bata from Covid and from problems related to being away from their parents and families,” Azanza said.
“Seryoso tayo sa effort na ito. We want academic excellence here in CATSU and one way to show that is by making sure our students pass the board exams and also by producing topnotchers,” he added.
The school president also promised to give incentives to the examinees if they became a topnotcher.
