CATANDUANES State University inked a partnership with Social Security System to give various types of benefits to job orders and contractual workers of the university.

The collaboration will enable the employees to have access to social security benefits such as sickness, maternity, disability, unemployment, death, and funeral benefits.

SSS has also said it will assist with the remittances of monthly Social Security and Employees’ Compensation contributions.

“SSS has agreed to cover the COS and JO personnel of CatSU as Self-employed members under the Social Security Act of 2018,” said the university.

In line with this, the agency stressed the regular and permanent workers, who are already contributing to SSS through private employment or self-employment, have the choice to make contributions as voluntary members.
