THE CARAGA State University was adjudged the best higher education institution in Region 13 in the 2023 university rankings by UniRank.

CSU also secured 31st spot out of the 232 universities assessed in the country. The school placed 6037th in the world.

Also included in the top HEIs in the region are the Father Saturnino Urios University, North Eastern Mindanao State University, St. Paul University Surigao, and Saint Joseph Institute of Technology.

To qualify for the ranking, the school must be chartered, licensed, or accredited by the appropriate Philippine higher education-related organization; offering at least three bachelor’s degrees or postgraduate master’s or doctoral degrees; and delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, non-distance education format.
