CAR parking for students is one of the initiatives that the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is eyeing to help students with vehicles to have designated parking spots.

In a post on Facebook, the PLM Supreme Student Council said that it wants to initiate a discussion with its administration regarding the measure.

The council said that this was brought on by the recent towing incidents in Intramuros, Manila, where vehicles of some students from PLM were towed.

“In line with the recent events regarding the towing incident including students from the Pamantasan, the PLM Supreme Student Council wants to initiate a discussion on the possibility of having Student Parking,” the council said on its Facebook page.

The council’s move was met with mixed reactions, with some supporting the motive for “students’ rights.”

Others saw the move as additional traffic congestion, and will only help fill the historic Manila’s walled city with cars which it is not designed for.
