FORMER and current students of the Canossa College San Pablo urged school officials to act on the complaint filed against a teacher who allegedly sexually harassed some learners.

The call came after #KulayPosasangAngBukas trended on Twitter as students, victims, and advocates sought the filing of charges against the teacher.

In a statement, the student council said that more than 20 students were victimized.

The students said that dismissal is not enough punishment.

“We call on our school authorities to support the calls of the victims toward justice and further legal action. While the concerned faculty member has been dismissed by the school, we call that further actions [take place] to prevent the same situation from happening outside the campus,”  the council said.

It added that the council will be coordinating with the Parent-Teacher Association to help the victims.

The POST sought comment regarding the matter but has yet to receive a reply from the college.
