CAGAYAN STATE U GIVES CHICKEN TO COOPERATORS
AS PART of its post typhoon efforts, the Cagayan State University-Piat Campus Extension will distribute free-range chickens to cooperative members to boost their livelihood.
The initiative is part of its rehabilitation program post Typhoon Ulysses in the entire province.
The project will provide chickens to locals in the towns of Piat, Sto. Nino, Enrile and Rizal which were hit hard by the typhoon.
A total of 2,400 heads of free-range chicken will be distributed.
Other components of the project include flood damage assessment, profiling of flood-affected families, provision of health kits and nutripacks and capacity building on health.
CSU said that the funding for the project came from the Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development.
