JUSTICE is being served, read a Twitter post of the Envirex, the official student publication of a Science High School in Cabanatuan City where cases of alleged sexual harassment recently rocked the community of social media frequent users.

“The school administration is taking actions regarding the alleged sexual harassment cases that recently surfaced,” said the school paper’s tweet, who also apologized to the student body regarding the development of the issues.

Continued the Envirex: “The administration heard us. And they have addressed the concerns that we raised. We stand with the victims of harassment, to those who spoke up, and to those who are still unable to find their voice. Above all, we stand by the truth – and it will prevail soon.”

The editors of Envirex also issued a clarification yesterday that the they did not slam the school officials for not taking swift action against the reported sexual harassment cases, but have rather “implored the administration to empathize with and hear out these students.’

What they’ve condemned in the Twitter post was the alleged distasteful acts against the lady victims.

For its part, the school’s Supreme Student Government has also tweeted: “The institution heard our call for justice and is now taking immediate actions and resolutions to hold the abusers accountable for their misdeeds.” The tweet was dated July 18, 2020, but was made known to The POST only last night (August 3, 2020.)

The student leaders also said that the Sci-Hi community is encouraging students who experienced similar cases to continue sending stories in its Curious Cat Account “and be assured that the administration is listening to every single one of you and will take appropriate steps to address the issues.”

While the administrators of the Honorato C. Perez, Sr. Memorial Science High School appeared to have taken action against the offenders in the alleged sexual harassment cases, a number of tweets have just added-up to the complaints, exposing offensive innuendos from the victims’ vivid memories reportedly inside and outside of the HCPSMSHS campus.

One particular tweet which was forwarded to The POST has asked: “Bakit ang mga guro ngayon nanghihingi ng picture ng paa ng babae… what a weird world we have now.” The Twitter post recounted: “Is it just me or may foot fetish talaga isang teacher sa Sci-Hi? This teacher started asking me photos ng feet ko on facebook, magd-design daw kasi siya ng sapatos and he wanted me as his model. As his student, I decided to send him 2 photos for each foot. After noon, sabi nya he wanted to see my feet in person… and things started to get weird nang gusto na nyang i-press sa face nya ang feet ko just to feel lang daw how soft yung paa ko.”

Another Twitter post said “I feel like it’s time for me to share his uncomfortable messages to me,” confessing in her tweet how she and a Sci-Hi teacher have engaged in a mid-morning chat which ended in what she described as an unwelcome conversation after her teacher was reportedly asking personal questions about her past relationship with another guy.”

Other tweets have illustrated as to how the junior and senior high girls and their families were being harassed reportedly inside and outside of the HCPSMSHS premises, which included verbal abuse, physical touch and threats of violence and lawsuit, the details of which are now being kept by the Alyansa ng Kabatang Mag-aaral for data compilation prior to the filing of complaints before the concerned authorities.
