THE BULACAN State University warned the public of scammers who claim to be part of the university, who then illegally solicit money on their behalf.

BulSU on Wednesday said that it has received reports of such cases, and advised the public to report to them if someone encounters such cases.

“The public is therefore warned that any form of solicitation using the name of any University Official for alleged scholarship grants is not, in any way, connected to or is duly authorized by the University,” BulSU said in a statement.

“This is nothing but SCAMS and hence the public is strongly advised to be alert and vigilant,” it added.

BulSU also said that the university is not accountable for any liability from such acts, as these are cases of identity theft.

An investigation is also underway, where appropriate legal action will be sought, the university added.
