BULSU APPREHENDS FORMER STUDENT

/ 4 March 2024

BULACAN State University apprehended a former student who tried to cause a scene at its Malolos campus on Saturday.

In a statement, BulSU said that a person, who was later identified as its former student who last attended the university back in 2021, forcefully barged into campus grounds.

“He was brought to the Guidance Office and continued to show signs of erratic behavior but eventually settled and later escorted out of campus,” the university said in a statement.

The former student then tried to attack the security guards who then surrendered the person to the police and was placed under preventive custody “to avoid harming himself.”

“The university is not pressing charges against the said individual and will extend all possible help he needs, including social, medical, and psychological interventions,” BulSU added.

The university ended its statement urging “groups which proclaim their nationalistic fervor would stop taking advantage of the misfortune of others for their own interests and instead be factual in their narratives.”
