THE BULACAN State University launched the Local Economic Development for Local Government Units program on December 14, 2021 to help LGUs assess their economic opportunities.

LED4LGU was launched two weeks after the university signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

The program is designed to provide local government units with a solid understanding of the principles and decision tools of Local Economic Development in order to assess their economic opportunities.

Its long-term goal is to produce business-friendly, competitive products and make local economies resilient.

The launch was conducted via Zoom and was attended by 72 local government units in Region III.

Also present during the event was BULSU President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon.
