BULACAN STATE U FACULTY INCENTIVES ON HOLD

/ 21 November 2022

THE ADMINISTRATION of the Bulacan State University has delayed the release of the incentives for its faculty due to incomplete documents.

In a statement, BulSU said that the faculty union requested the release of the incentives last Thursday.

However, the faculty union has yet to submit a ratified request for the release of the incentives which is signed by a majority of the rank-and-file employees.

BulSU explained that it cannot release the money without the document.

This is in accordance with Budget Circular No. 2022-3 of the Department of Budget and Management stating that the document is a condition for the grant.

“Much as the University administration would like to give all the emoluments, benefits, and privileges due all union members at the soonest possible time, it cannot do so at this stage as there is no proof yet of compliance,” Atty. Joseph Inocencio, BulSU Univerity spokesperson, said.

“Should the incentive be released despite non-compliance it will expose the University president and everyone responsible for the disbursement to criminal, civil, and administrative liabilities,” he added.

Inocencio said that once the union complies with the requirement, the incentive will be released immediately.
