BULACAN SCHOOL TRAINS TEACHERS IN PREPARATION FOR NEW NORMAL
DON Felix de Leon Memorial School in San Agustin, Bulacan trained its teachers to make the delivery of education appropriate in the new normal.
“Preparation of modules, activity sheets, and learning materials were done by the teachers even at home. To further enhance their knowledge, webinars were conducted,” school principal Francis Pangilinan said.
The school also laid out DepEd’s learning continuity plan to barangay council, officers of Parents-Teachers Association, and barangay health workers to get their support for the continuation of education amid the Covid19 pandemic.
Both public and private stakeholders vowed to support the school’s learning delivery modalities.
“To cope up with this difficulty, Don Felix de Leon Memorial School coordinated with the Sangguniang Barangay, Barangay Mother Leaders, and barangay workers. They helped in disseminating information about the modes of delivery in education,” Pangilinan said.
Meanwhile, school management has been trying to prepare a safe comeback of teachers and non-teaching employees when classes resume on August 24 as they conducted an orientation on mental health and psychosocial support services in this time of pandemic.
