BRUNEI HEALTH MINISTER VISITS FEU

/ 11 January 2023

THE FAR Eastern University recently hosted Brunei’s Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar.

Jaafar’s visit was part of a nursing program partnership with Jerudong Park Medical Centre and Darussalam Assets.

“The JPMC College of Health Sciences is the first private health science college in Brunei,” FEU said.

“The recent visit further explored FEU’s nursing curriculum and facilities, as well as its learning modalities in the post-pandemic education setup to strengthen JCHS’s nursing program,” it added.

Prior to the minister’s visit, other delegates from JPMC also toured FEU Manila, FEU Alabang and its industry partners St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City and Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Mandaluyong City.

“[The visit aims] to observe the internship program of its nursing students and to expand their knowledge on the country’s health industry,” FEU said.

JCHS opened the first school term in October 2022 to students based in Brunei, with the objective to produce globally competent nurses and medical leaders to address the growing demand in the health care sector.
