BOHOL Island State University will start a doctor medicine program by next school year that it is now hiring doctors in medicine to teach at the academy.

The move according to the university is in line with ensuring the province will have homegrown expert medical practitioners to serve as front liners in times of health crisis.

“Bohol Island State University will be offering Doctor of Medicine (MD) to provide the most appropriate educational experience to the students who shall become the province’s homegrown expert medical practitioners and transformative leaders in health governance,” the school said on its Facebook page

“BISU is in urgent need, and is therefore herein inviting qualified professional educators to become part of its roster of faculty and staff,” it added.

At the moment, the school is in need of an associate professor 3, and assistant professors 1 to 4 to be added to its rosters of experts in the medical field.

Minimum requirements are a medical license, doctor of medicine, or at least a master’s degree holder in the medical field, management, or administration.

A minimum of one-year relevant experience is also needed, as well as four hours of relevant training.

Annual salaries range from P384,636 to P712,236 pesos, the school said.
