THE BILIRAN Province State University reappointed Dr. Victor Cañezo as the university president for his second term.

BIPSU said that Cañezo was unanimously elected by the Board of Regents.

He edged out three other candidates for the post — Dr. Roland Niez, Prof. Ramel Tomaquin and Dr. Christopher Vicera.

Cañezo will serve as president until May 2, 2027.

He was the president of BIPSU from February 13, 2019. Dr. Marianne Agnes Mendoza, vice president for Research, Innovation, and Extension and director for Research and Innovation, was appointed as officer-in-charge after Cañezo’s term expired.

He was also the officer-in-charge of the university from June 2017 to February 2019.
