BILIRAN PROVINCE STATE UNIVERSITY VOWS TO HELP ITS FORMER STUDENTS

/ 9 December 2020

THE BILIRAN Province State University pledged to exhaust all legal remedies to help its former students whose course units were not credited by their new school.

Several former maritime students sought help from BiPSU after the University of Visayas where they transferred did not credit the units they earned from their former school.

This prompted BiPSU officials to meet with their counterparts from the University of Visayas to settle the issue on December 3.

The parties decided to elevate the matter before the Commission on Higher Education.

“BiPSU assures our former students and our stakeholders that the university is exhausting all possible legal remedies and actions to respond to this concern with the end goal of helping them, especially as they continuously brave their education amidst the Covid19 pandemic,” the university said.

The UV has also advised its affected students to coordinate with them regarding the progress of the issue.
