BILIRAN PROVINCE STATE U HOLDS GENDER TRAINING
THE BILIRAN Province State University conducted a training on Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines to make the school more gender responsive.
Through the Gender and Development
Office and the Institutional Planning Office, the participants used HGDG to formulate and implement gender-responsive programs, projects, and activities in the university.
Members of the Management Committee, GAD Focal Point System and personnel from the Engineering and Physical Development Office and Institutional Planning Office attended the training.
Rene A. Gandeza, Jr., Project Development Officer of the National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security Division, Social Healing and Peacebuilding Department of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process, was the resource person for the training.
“We have to make sure that our plans, programs, and activities to be implemented are aligned with the requirements in the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines tool,” BiPSU President Victor C. Cañezo said.
Cañezo said that gender and development should not just be reflected in their plans, programs, and activities, but should also be inculcated within staff and personnel in order to fully achieve the university’s goals and objectives in building a gender-responsive and sensitive community.
