BICOL UNIVERSITY HANDS OUT GADGET ALLOWANCE TO SELECT STUDENTS
THE BICOL University provided gadget and load allowances to 10 select students to help them cope with distance learning.
The university said that the gadgets, donated by the Class of 1989, were given to students of the College of Education Integrated Laboratory High School.
“In its intention to help struggling students of BUCEILS in their flexible learning, BUCEILS Batch 1989 has donated 10 Samsung smartphones worth P4,000 each,” the BU said.
“In addition, they also pledged to provide each student with a load allowance worth P300 monthly,” it added.
Meanwhile, the school also initiated a donation drive to help the victims of Typhoon Rolly in the Bicol region.
As of Thursday, the school had at least 10,000 relief packs containing rice and canned goods.
Those who want to extend help can visit the BU’s University Student Union Center, the school said.
