BICOL U TO ENFORCE STRICTER ENTRANCE EXAM AFTER CHEATING ALLEGATIONS

/ 10 November 2022

THE BICOL University will implement a stricter policy for its College Entrance Test after it received reports of cheating.

BU said that it is investigating reports that its questionnaire was shared on social media.

Students reportedly took pictures and videos of the questionnaire inside the College of Engineering Gymnasium.

These cameras were attached to school IDs, necklaces and bracelets.

BU said that examinees are now banned from bringing bags inside the testing hall. They are also not allowed to wear jewelry and other accessories.

Security guards will also inspect the examinees’ belongings upon entering the testing hall.

Violators will be immediately disqualified.

“These additional rules are issued and publicly disseminated for the information, guidance and strict compliance of all concerned to eliminate continuing threats to test security,” BU Dean of Admissions Dr. Hennie Pama-Lomibao said.

The policy is adopted for the duration of the tests from November 10 to 20, 2022.
