BICOL U TO ACT ON CHEATING REPORTS
THE BICOL University vowed to act on reports of cheating during its College Entrance Test.
BU Dean of Admissions Dr. Hennie Pana-Lomibao said that the school received information that photos of the test questions circulated on social media before the start of the exams on Saturday.
“Examinee/s found guilty of violating the rules during test administration and are found to be in collusion with perpetrators of impropriety shall be meted out corresponding penalties and may face legal consequences,” the dean said.
The university warned those who will take the exam on November 13 “never to attempt to discredit the conduct of the BUCET.”
Netizens asked BU to tighten its measures against cheating.
“The students should not be allowed to bring cellphones inside the examination room. Bicol University should have a stricter regulation especially now that the examination is on different dates. It’s so sad,” one netizen said.
