BICOL U SUSPENDS CLASSES

The Bicol University suspended classes beginning today, April 19, because of Typhoon Bising.

The school also suspended work in campus until further notice.

“In view of the inclement weather condition brought by Typhoon Bising affecting Bicol region, classes in all levels in the University, both synchronous and asynchronous, are hereby suspended effective April 19, 2021, until lifted,” BU said on Facebook.

“Everyone is advised to monitor for updates,” it added.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration placed Bicol and other nearby provinces under Signal No. 1.

Moderate to heavy rain is expected in the region until Tuesday.
