A STUDENT from Bataan High School for the Arts bagged awards at the Franz Schubert International Music Competition.

Joella Beatriz Manalili won the Gold Prize for the Youth Category and Outstanding Musicality Special Prize.

Manalili was coached by Ruby Jean Cortez, Maria Milette de Villa, while BHSA Deputy Director Bryan Santos served as her accompaniment.

“Thank you for your hard work in training our student-artists to be the best that they can be. Congratulations everyone. Your BHSA Family is very proud of you!” the school wrote on Facebook.

Franz Schubert International Music Competition allows musicians to share their passions and express their ideas, showcasing their skills to the world online.

The competition is open to all ages in different categories and welcomes all instrumentalists and vocalists.
