BENILDE STUDENT PAPER BAGS 6 BDCP AWARDS

THE BENILDEAN Press Corps, the student-journalists’ organization of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, won big in the Best-Designed Campus Papers of the Philippines Awards.

It bagged six awards in different categories, including Most In-depth Feature Story for the article “Unsolved Mysteries and False Promises: Lumad Edition” by Marinel Peroy and Beatrice Quirante; and Most Inspirational Feature Story for the article “Br. Dodo: When an artist becomes a leader” by Marinel Peroy and Zophia Emmanuelle Tendido.

It also won Best Frontpage Design for “The Benildean (Clickbait Issue)”; Best Features Spread Design for “The Benildean (Update Issue)”; and Best School Paper Color Schemes for “The Benildean (Update Issue).”

Likewise, “The Benildean: Update” issue won the Medallion of Visual and Creative Excellence Award.

Meanwhile, The Pole, a student publication of the Western Bicutan National High School in Taguig City, was hailed as the Best-Designed Campus Paper of the Philippines for 2020.

The BDCP is the only nationwide award-giving body that acknowledges the visual and creative excellence in the layout and design of campus publications from elementary to college.
